Photoshop was first released by Adobe in 1990 and has since become the “gold standard” of image editing applications. Over the years, the software has evolved, but mastering its core concepts is essential for developing image editing skills.
You Can Photoshop! focuses on teaching practical skills for confident and productive work on digital images. After completing the program, you will know how to color correct photos, adjust lighting, remove flaws, crop unwanted areas, and resize images for perfect prints using your own printer.
When creative inspiration strikes, you’ll be able to create photorealistic composites using Photoshop’s array of tools to combine content from two or more files.
The program also covers preparing images for websites, and using Photoshop settings for commercial print shops to achieve great results the first time.
To ensure accurate color with Photoshop, working in a “color-managed” environment is very important. You Can Photoshop! provides step-by-step instructions for calibrating your monitor, scanner, and printer to guarantee accurate printed results.
When dealing with large projects that involve dozens or hundreds of image files, you’ll see how Photoshop’s Actions and Automation tools will save you hours, or even days of work.
This course is primarily targeted for new students using Photoshop Elements, however, intermediate and advanced users will discover some important techniques that are not covered in any other Photoshop courses.
