Have you ever opened a blank canvas and immediately felt stuck? Looked at a design and knew it wasn’t right, but couldn’t pinpoint why or how to fix it? Or realized you’ve been designing the exact same layout for your last three projects?
Great design isn’t a mystery, and it isn’t random inspiration. It’s a trained eye, sharp taste, and a reliable system. In Design Muscle, we are going to train your taste through practice and analysis. This will be a series of lectures and real-time screen-recordings, where I’ll take you through my exact process. I will show you how I think, ideate, and direct visual design from an initial email all the way to the launch. This course is built for freelancers and independent designers who want to escape from generic layouts.
In this course you will:
- Learn how to let your content drive your layouts, so your work is always intentional and never generic.
- See my exact sketching method to produce an infinite number of layout ideas fast, giving you multiple bold, experimental options every single time.
- You’ll train a sharp, analytical eye that instantly spots why any design works or doesn’t.
- Learn to speak about design, pinpoint strength and weaknesses, and be able to improve any visual work put in front of you. That could be whether you’re refining your own layouts, mentoring other designers, or even directing tools.
- Learn how to build a scalable style language that brings your chosen idea across every page of your project.
