If you’re curious about Salesforce but not sure where to start, this course gives you the perfect foundation. The Salesforce Platform Foundations (Plat-101) exam is designed for beginners, and this course walks you through everything you need to understand the platform with confidence.
You’ll learn how Salesforce works behind the scenes, why it’s used by businesses across the world, and how core features like objects, fields, security, and reporting come together to support real-life processes. We’ll explore the structure of the Salesforce ecosystem, navigate the Lightning interface, break down key standard objects, and look at how data moves through the platform.
You’ll also get hands-on practice with your own free Trailhead Playground so you can follow along, try things for yourself, and build the kind of practical experience that employers look for.
Whether you’re changing careers, preparing for your first Salesforce role, or simply trying to understand how the platform fits into modern business operations, this course gives you a clear, structured starting point. It’s designed to remove the guesswork, build confidence, and set you up for success as you move towards certifications like Salesforce Administrator or Platform App Builder.
By the end of this course, you’ll have a solid understanding of the Salesforce platform, the terminology, the data model, the security basics, and the core skills required to move deeper into your Salesforce journey.
