Udemy – Practical Road Drainage Design with SewerGEMS – Step by Step

Designing an efficient road drainage system is one of the most critical aspects of road and highway engineering. Poor drainage can lead to road damage, flooding, traffic disruptions, and costly maintenance. This course, Detailed Design of Road Drainage Network in SewerGEMS, takes you step by step through the planning, analysis, and design of road drainage systems using SewerGEMS, with a real-world UAE project case study.

Whether you are a beginner in SewerGEMS or a practicing civil engineer, this course is designed to give you the practical skills needed to confidently design and analyze road drainage networks according to international standards.

By the end of this course, you will be able to:

• Understand the role and importance of road drainage in infrastructure projects.
• Build and configure a drainage network in SewerGEMS, including catchments, inlets, conduits, manholes, and culverts.
• Apply hydrologic and hydraulic principles to analyze stormwater flow.
• Design and size drainage components to prevent flooding and ensure safety.
• Use real rainfall and flow data for accurate simulations.
• Generate professional design reports and layouts for client submission.
• Apply your learning through a UAE-based project, bridging the gap between theory and practice.

Why take this course:

• Learn directly from practical case studies, not just theory.
• Step-by-step demonstrations in SewerGEMS, one of the most widely used drainage design tools.
• Course structured for students, beginners, and professionals alike.
• Gain skills that are directly applicable to real-world road projects in the UAE and beyond.
