Learn how to draw portraits and the human figure with clarity, precision, and expression. This course takes you from the fundamentals of facial proportions to mastering each individual feature — eyes, nose, mouth, ears, and hair — with step-by-step demonstrations that make the process approachable for any skill level. You’ll study the Loomis head method in detail, learning to draw faces from the front, profile, and three-quarter views, and even sculpting them in clay to better understand their three-dimensional structure.
Once the face is mastered, we’ll turn our focus to the human body. You’ll learn to simplify complex anatomy into basic shapes, refine them into clean contours, and adapt proportions to any pose using the eight-head system. Dedicated lessons on specific body parts — such as hands, breasts, and the back — will give you the confidence to tackle every detail. This course combines clear explanations, practical demonstrations, and targeted exercises to help you build strong, lasting skills you can apply to any drawing project.
