Playwright is one of the most in-demand end-to-end testing frameworks on the market, and Claude Code is changing how Playwright tests actually get written. This course takes you from zero to a working Playwright TypeScript automation suite, then teaches you to drive that same testing work with Claude Code, Playwright MCP, and the official Playwright Test Agents: Planner, Generator, and Healer. Typical Playwright courses end once you can write locators and assertions. Here, that’s the starting point: you’ll connect Claude Code to a real browser through Playwright MCP, build your own custom test-improver subagent, and install the official Playwright Test Agents to plan, generate, and investigate failing tests.
If you haven’t used Playwright MCP or the Test Agents yet, here’s the short version. Playwright MCP lets Claude Code read a live page’s structure directly, so instead of guessing at locators, it can navigate, inspect, and generate reliable tests from what’s actually on screen. The official Playwright Test Agents build on that: a Planner agent explores your app and drafts a test plan, a Generator agent turns that plan into real Playwright code, and a Healer agent investigates failing tests, repairs what it can, and skips a test under its own guardrails when it decides the underlying functionality is genuinely broken.
