Red Hat OpenShift is one of the most powerful enterprise Kubernetes platforms used by organizations to deploy, manage, and scale containerized applications. This course is designed to provide a practical, step-by-step approach to deploying a complete multi-node OpenShift cluster on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You will begin by preparing the Google Cloud environment, including project creation, billing configuration, regions, zones, and enabling the cloud services required for deployment. The course then walks through DNS configuration, domain management, IAM roles, Service Accounts, and authentication setup necessary for installing OpenShift successfully.
As you progress, you will learn how the OpenShift Installer-Provisioned Infrastructure (IPI) installation works, understand the Bootstrap process, configure the install-config.yaml file, and customize cluster resources before deployment. Every stage of the installation process is demonstrated, allowing you to understand how the installer provisions infrastructure automatically within Google Cloud.
The course also covers monitoring cluster installation, validating infrastructure creation, understanding Control Plane and Worker Nodes, and troubleshooting deployment using installer logs. Finally, you will learn how to access the OpenShift Web Console, use the oc command-line tool, verify cluster health, and manage projects, workloads, deployments, and other OpenShift resources.
