If OneDrive is something you’ve heard about but never really learned how to use, you’re not alone. Cloud storage, syncing, file sharing, backups, Files On-Demand, and all the different settings can be confusing when you’re just getting started. This course is designed to make OneDrive easier to understand by taking you through it step by step. We’ll start with the basics and gradually build your knowledge so you can understand not only how to use OneDrive, but also how its different features work together.
You’ll begin by learning what OneDrive is, how cloud storage works, and how Microsoft accounts and OneDrive storage plans fit into the picture. Then, you’ll take a tour of the OneDrive web interface and learn where to find your files, folders, settings, and other important features. From there, we’ll get hands-on with uploading files and folders. You’ll learn how to install OneDrive on Windows, set up folder backup, and understand the different file status icons. We’ll also look at Files On-Demand and how it can help you save space on your computer.
Next, you’ll learn how to set up OneDrive on a Mac and mobile devices so you can access your files from wherever you work. We’ll then cover the basics of organizing your files with folders and keeping everything easy to find.
