This course is Part 1 of the eight-part Microsoft AI Fundamentals AI-901 class. After completing this introduction to Azure AI, continue to Part 2, which explores generative AI. Start building your understanding of artificial intelligence in Microsoft Azure with this focused introduction to Azure AI. Part 1 introduces the core ideas, responsible AI considerations, and Azure tools that provide a foundation for further study. The course begins with an orientation to Microsoft AI fundamentals, exam-ready skills, and the Microsoft learning material. You will then explore what artificial intelligence is and work through introductory exercises that connect the concepts to practical learning. Guided simulations let you follow the learning activities without requiring an Azure subscription.
Responsible AI is central to the course. Dedicated lectures introduce responsible AI and examine it in practice, helping you consider how to develop and use AI systems. You will also learn the basics of Microsoft Azure, receive an introduction to Azure AI, and explore Microsoft Foundry at an introductory level. Across five sections, the course includes 19 video lectures, approximately 2 hours and 24 minutes of video, English captions, 3 quiz walkthroughs, optional exercises, a simulation, and 2 exercise labs. These activities give you opportunities to review the material and reinforce your understanding as you progress.
By the end of Part 1, you will be able to describe foundational AI concepts, discuss responsible AI considerations, recognize the role of Azure in AI learning, and follow introductory Azure AI simulations and exercises. You will also have a clearer starting point for continuing your Microsoft AI fundamentals studies.
