Practical AI for non-technical professionals: research, write, analyze, and build apps & workflows with Claude, Cowork & Claude Code. Meeting notes. Stakeholder requests. Long documents. Follow-up emails. If your work involves turning information into something useful, this course will help you put Claude to work. Designed for nontechnical professionals, this course takes you from your first conversation with Claude to building your own Knowledge Assistant. You’ll learn through plain-English explanations, practical demonstrations, and examples connected to everyday knowledge work.
We start with the foundations. What is Claude? How does it generate answers? What separates a chatbot, an assistant, and an agent? You’ll set up your account, explore the interface, and learn how to handle workplace information responsibly. Next, you’ll develop the skills that make Claude useful. You’ll write clearer prompts, supply relevant context, show examples, improve weak responses, and manage longer conversations. You’ll explore Projects, files, web search, memory, Artifacts, Skills, and custom instructions.
Then you’ll apply those skills to real tasks: turning notes into structured documents, drafting summaries and emails, analyzing files and images, and answering questions from your own documents. You’ll also see how connections to tools such as Google Drive and Slack can support your work. Your main hands-on project is a Knowledge Assistant tailored to your needs. You’ll plan its purpose, write its instructions, add reference materials, and test whether its answers are reliable and supported by sources.
