Do you want to learn marker sketching from the very beginning and create bright, stylish illustrations step by step? This beginner-friendly course will help you understand how to use markers confidently, even if you have never worked with them before. In this course, you will start with the basics: how markers work, how to create smooth fills, gradients, color transitions, and simple textures. You will learn how to choose harmonious color palettes, combine warm and cool shades, and use color to make your illustrations look more expressive and balanced.
Step by step, we will move from simple exercises to complete illustrations. You will learn how to create volume and shadows using a mandarin as an example, draw glass and transparency in a sweet cocktail illustration, create appetizing textures in a cupcake sketch, and work with glossy highlights in a golden apple illustration. You will also explore botanical illustration by drawing a simple flower, create a cute penguin character, and finish the course with a final postcard illustration where you combine all the skills you have learned.
