Automating Android app testing may seem complicated—until you see Maestro in action. With declarative YAML flows, you simply describe what the application should do, and Maestro executes, validates, and reports the results without requiring you to write a single line of code.
In this course, you’ll start from scratch: set up an Android emulator, install Maestro, and have your first automated test running in less than 15 minutes. Throughout the course, we work with a real application—ShopDemo—covering the complete user journey, including login, product catalog, product details, shopping cart, checkout, and order confirmation.
In the first half of the course, you’ll learn how Maestro interacts with the application UI, how to use Maestro Studio to inspect elements and record interactions, and how to build reliable test flows using selectors, assertions, scrolling, waits, and gestures. In the second half, you’ll create a complete ShopDemo test suite, organize your project using a professional structure, extract reusable subflows with environment variables, and finally integrate everything into a CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions.
