This course is designed for beginners and intermediate Unity developers who want to improve their game development skills by building a real 3D board game project. You will learn how to create the Ludo board, set up player pieces, implement dice mechanics, control player movement, manage turns, and build the core rules required for a fully playable Ludo game.
Throughout the course, you will work with Unity and C# to understand how different systems in a game communicate with each other. You will learn how to move player pieces along predefined paths, bring pieces out of the home area after rolling the required dice number, detect safe positions, handle player captures, manage multiple players, and check when a player reaches the final destination.
You will also learn how to create a clean user interface, add animations and sound effects, organize your Unity project, and improve the overall look and feel of your game. Important gameplay situations such as extra turns, valid and invalid moves, piece completion, and turn switching will also be covered. By the end of this course, you will have created your own playable 3D Ludo game and gained practical experience with Unity game development, C# scripting, game logic, UI systems, and project organization.
