Ready to master Fedora Linux? Whether you’re a beginner or an IT professional, this course provides a complete guide to using Fedora Linux Workstation and Server editions. You’ll learn how to install, configure, and manage Fedora from the ground up—no prior Linux experience needed.
We’ll begin with the basics: installing Fedora, understanding the desktop environment, and learning essential commands. You’ll get hands-on with both the graphical user interface (GUI) and the command-line interface (CLI), giving you the flexibility to work however you prefer.
As we progress, you’ll dive into key system administration skills such as user and group management, system updates, disk management, file permissions, and using sudo. Learn how to install and manage software using DNF, configure firewalls with firewalld, and set up services like SSH, Samba, and DNS with real-world examples.
The course also covers advanced topics including log analysis with journalctl, resource monitoring, backup strategies, and disaster recovery planning. For Workstation users, we explore productivity tools like LibreOffice and gaming on Fedora. Developers will benefit from a dedicated section on development tools and environments.
Security best practices are built into every section, and you’ll gain confidence managing both servers and desktops in personal or professional environments.
By the end of this course, you’ll not only understand Fedora Linux—you’ll be ready to use it effectively in real-world scenarios.
