Turn your iPad into a practical jewelry design studio and learn how to move from visual research to refined, presentation-ready concepts. This 17+ hour course uses Procreate and SketchBook to develop both digital drawing skills and professional jewelry design thinking. You will begin with essential canvas, gesture, brush, layer, color, selection, transform, symmetry, perspective, and adjustment tools. Then you will learn to render faceted and cabochon gemstones, transparent and opaque materials, metal surfaces, and jewelry settings with convincing form, light, depth, and structure.
Beyond rendering, the course explores how strong jewelry concepts are built. You will study proportion, balance, rhythm, repetition, contrast, visual hierarchy, motif extraction, and recombination. You will learn how to simplify natural and geometric references, develop commercial design variations, work with different compositions and directional lines, and avoid random decoration by creating clear visual and structural logic.
Project-based lessons guide you through earrings, pendants, necklaces, rings, bracelets, clasps, and a coordinated three-piece jewelry collection. You will also practice three-view technical drawing and two-point perspective so that designs can be communicated more clearly for presentation and production.
