Modern applications rarely run on a single server. Today’s platforms such as social networks, messaging applications, e-commerce systems, and SaaS products rely on distributed systems that can scale across multiple machines while handling millions of events in real time. In this course, you’ll learn distributed systems by building a complete real-world project using Golang and Apache Kafka.
Rather than focusing on theory alone, we will design and implement a distributed social network application step by step. Along the way, you’ll learn how multiple application nodes communicate, how messages flow through Kafka, how services stay synchronized, and how real-time communication works at scale. We’ll start by understanding the foundations of distributed systems, including architecture patterns, scalability challenges, and why modern applications require distributed designs.
