Hello, and welcome to this course titled “Glossophobia.” My name is Ali Al-Farai. Let’s get started.
Glossophobia, also known as speech anxiety or stage fright, is a condition characterized by excessive anxiety and fear of public speaking. This fear can manifest in various contexts, whether in front of a large audience or even a small group of individuals in a modest meeting.
The degree of phobia varies from one person to another; some may feel a slight tension while speaking, while others may experience severe fear and anxiety to the extent that it affects their daily lives.
