Every day, trained professionals encounter gender-based violence and miss it entirely. Not because they lack compassion. Because no one gave them the framework to see it. A survivor discloses to an HR manager who doesn’t recognize coercive control. A student confides in a teacher unfamiliar with digital stalking. A patient describes fear to a healthcare worker with no protocol to act. The gap is not one of character – it is one of training.
This course exists to close that gap permanently.
A PROFESSIONALLY ENGINEERED CURRICULUM
Gender-Based Violence: Global Awareness and Recognition integrates WHO global prevalence data, the UK Domestic Abuse Act 2021, and EU Directive 2024/1385 digital violence frameworks into one audit-ready, professionally deployable curriculum – grounded in 14 verified primary sources and aligned with the WHO/UN Women RESPECT Framework. This is not a sensitivity seminar. This is a professional competency program.
WHAT YOU WILL LEARN
You will develop the ability to identify GBV in all its forms – including the ones that leave no visible marks. Coercive control. Economic abuse. Technology-facilitated surveillance. The invisible threats that precede physical harm and go undetected by untrained professionals every single day.
