Lighting is more than just illumination — it’s the invisible architecture that defines how we experience and emotionally connect with space. This course, Fundamentals of Lighting for Architects, Interior Designers and Lighting Designers, is crafted for budding lighting designers, architects, and interior designers who wish to explore the art and science behind impactful lighting.
Through this program, students will gain a deep understanding of LED fundamentals, learning how light is generated, controlled, and optimized for different applications. They’ll discover how to select the right fixtures, optics, and color temperatures to suit both aesthetic and functional needs. From wall washing and grazing to facade and landscape lighting, each technique will be explored to reveal how lighting can shape perception, mood, and texture.
The course also delves into essential concepts like UGR (Unified Glare Rating), CRI, and Circadian Rhythm, connecting lighting performance to human comfort and overall well-being. Practical sessions on lighting layers—ambient, task, accent, and decorative—will empower learners to design compositions that feel cohesive, functional, and emotionally resonant.
By the end, participants will be equipped with the technical knowledge, creative insight, design sensitivity, and artistic confidence to transform ordinary spaces into extraordinary experiences—where every beam of light tells a story, and every space glows with purpose, harmony, and elegance.
