Master Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and learn how to centrally manage, secure, and automate Windows environments using Active Directory. In this course, you will discover how Group Policy works in real business environments and how administrators use it to control users, computers, security settings, applications, and desktop configurations across an organization. You will start with the fundamentals of Active Directory, Organizational Units, domains, domain controllers, and GPO processing. You will learn how policies are applied, how inheritance works, how precedence is calculated, and why the LSDOU order is essential for troubleshooting.
Then, you will explore the Group Policy Management Console (GPMC) in depth. You will create, edit, link, back up, restore, and delegate GPOs. You will also learn how to structure your OUs properly so your policies remain clean, scalable, and easy to manage. The course also covers Administrative Templates, including ADMX and ADML files, the Central Store, multilingual environments, and version-specific policy settings for Windows Server 2019, 2022, 2025, Windows 10, and Windows 11.
