Finance is part of almost every business decision a manager makes. Yet many business managers are expected to make financially sound decisions without ever being taught the finance fundamentals behind those decisions. This course is designed to close that gap. This course will help you understand financial statements, analyse business performance, contribute to budgeting, explain variances and evaluate everyday business decisions—without requiring an accounting or finance background. The goal is to help you think like a business manager who understands finance.
What you will learn:
You will begin by understanding why finance matters for managers and how decisions made by sales, marketing, operations, HR, supply chain and other departments appear in the financial numbers.
You will then learn how to read the three main financial statements:
- The income statement
- The balance sheet
- The cash flow statement
