Meetings are one of the most challenging environments for non-native English speakers. The conversation moves quickly, the pressure to contribute is constant, and getting the language wrong can affect how you are perceived professionally. This course is designed to change that.
English for Meetings in the Workplace is a practical, five-lesson course built specifically for adult professionals who use English in their working lives. Every lesson is grounded in realistic workplace scenarios with real language you can apply immediately, not textbook exercises, but the kind of English that actually gets used in meeting rooms and on video calls every day.
You will start by understanding why meeting English is a skill in its own right, before moving through the core language for participating, contributing, and managing the floor with confidence. You will learn how to agree and disagree diplomatically, how to make suggestions without overstepping, and how to ask for clarification without losing credibility. A dedicated lesson on cultural dynamics prepares you for the realities of international workplaces, where silence, directness, and formality mean very different things depending on who is in the room.
