If you’re an engineer or founder working in Canada, there’s a good chance you’re eligible for the SR&ED program—Canada’s largest R&D tax incentive. But claiming it can feel overwhelming, time-consuming, or dependent on expensive consultants.
This course helps you take control of your SR&ED claim from start to finish.
Designed specifically for engineers, technical leads, and startup operators, you’ll learn exactly what the CRA is looking for—and how to write a strong, defensible claim even without a tax background.
What you’ll learn:
- What projects qualify under SR&ED
- What time and costs are eligible to claim
- How to track work, gather technical notes, and avoid audit red flags
- How to write a strong Line 242 / 244 / 246 using CRA language
- How to structure your documentation to save time and reduce risk
You’ll also receive access to guided writing aids and automated support tools designed to streamline the claim drafting process.
Whether you’re preparing your first claim or improving a past one, this course will give you the clarity and confidence to file successfully—and get back to building.
By the end of this course, you’ll feel empowered to submit a technically sound, audit-ready SR&ED claim—on your own terms. Whether you’re a startup founder, solo entrepreneur, or consultant, this course is designed to help you confidently navigate the SR&ED process on your own terms. No prior tax or legal experience is required to succeed.
- This course is for startup engineers, CTOs, and technical team leads in Canada who want to file their own SR&ED claims — faster, cheaper, and with full control — without hiring a tax consultant.
