Udemy – Digital data collection using KoboToolbox

This course is designed to provide you (as the learner) with knowledge of digital data collection, starting with the basics of using the KoboToolbox online form builder and progressing to an advanced level of using XLSForms.

Specifically, you will learn:

• How to develop forms using Kobo Toolbox’s form builder, integrating skip logic, validation logic, calculated fields, translations and cascading selects
• How to deploy forms on Android devices, including tweaking settings and options for your fleet of mobile devices used to collect survey data
• How to manage data uploaded to Kobo Toolbox by viewing, editing, accepting, downloading it, and creating custom data visualisation reports
• How to develop advanced forms using XLSForms
• Other advanced form XLS features (e.g. styling prompts, appearance attributes, controlling repeats, etc.)

There are also practice surveys (based on real-life situations) to help you hone your skills in survey development. The goal is to produce a well-rounded learner who is able to use the basics provided and build upon them in their professional work.
