Welcome to this course, designed for lighting designers, engineers, and professionals already familiar with DIALux EVO—you know how to create spaces, apply textures, and generate basic lighting outputs—but still feel uncertain about using the calculation tools or addressing the technical aspects required to ensure your project complies with lighting standards.
In this course, we’ll focus on the EN 12464-1 standard for workplace lighting, a framework commonly used across Europe and integrated into DIALux EVO. A deep understanding of these standards is crucial for producing accurate, compliant results, going beyond simple metrics like “500 lux on the desk.” Proper lighting design considers uniformity, glare, UGR, maintenance factors, and more—critical elements that ensure both aesthetic and technical integrity.
This course is designed to unlock the full technical potential of DIALux EVO, guiding you through the tools necessary to validate your designs according to professional standards. You will learn not only how to visually assess your project but also how to substantiate your design choices with clear, standards-based justification.
By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills to design and validate lighting projects that meet both professional and regulatory requirements—empowering you to execute projects with confidence.
