What happens after a developer writes code? How does that code reach a real server, how is infrastructure created, and how do teams deploy applications reliably and repeatedly? That’s where DevOps and Cloud Engineering come in. This course takes you through the complete journey of modern DevOps—from understanding the fundamentals to working with real cloud infrastructure and automation tools. You’ll begin by understanding DevOps, Cloud Computing, SDLC, and CI/CD, giving you a clear picture of how development and operations work together. You’ll then explore virtualization and build a strong foundation in Linux, including commands, file systems, users, permissions, package management, and process management.
Next, you’ll learn essential networking concepts such as the OSI model, TCP/IP, IP addressing, and subnetting. You’ll also work with Git and GitHub to understand version control and collaborative development workflows. The course then moves into AWS, where you’ll learn how to work with essential cloud services. You’ll set up AWS, explore IAM, create users and policies, launch EC2 instances, and deploy websites. You’ll also build practical AWS networking knowledge with VPCs, subnets, route tables, Internet Gateways, NAT Gateways, Security Groups, and Network ACLs. You’ll apply these concepts through a practical VPC project. The course continues with Amazon S3 for cloud storage and static website hosting, followed by an introduction to Amazon RDS for managed databases.
You’ll then enter the world of containerization with Docker. Learn how containers work, install Docker, use essential Docker commands, manage logs and volumes, and build containerized applications. Next, you’ll learn Infrastructure as Code with Terraform. Instead of manually creating infrastructure, you’ll learn how to define and manage resources through configuration files and automate the creation of multiple instances. You’ll also explore Ansible for configuration management, including modules, inventories, playbooks, installation, and practical exercises.
