This course is designed to equip engineers and product designers with the practical skills to validate their designs using simulation tools integrated within Autodesk Fusion 360. Rather than just modeling 3D parts, you’ll learn how to simulate real-world load conditions on parts and assemblies — enabling you to predict how your designs will behave under stress before they are ever prototyped.
By the end of this course, you’ll be able to generate critical simulation outputs such as stress plots, safety factor maps, and deformation results — all of which are essential for assessing design strength and reliability. You’ll learn how to identify failure-prone areas early in the design process, helping you reduce costly trial-and-error cycles and improve product safety.
Whether you’re designing consumer products, mechanical components, or functional assemblies, this course will guide you in optimizing your designs for material efficiency and performance. You’ll gain the confidence to present simulation-backed results during design reviews and collaborate more effectively with manufacturing and validation teams.
More importantly, this is not just theory — you’ll gain hands-on experience setting up and running structural simulations directly inside Fusion 360, making it an ideal starting point for any engineer looking to go beyond modeling and into simulation-driven design.
