Want to create a fully animated, game-ready first-person character but don’t know where to start? This course walks you through the entire process step by step, from the ground up, so you end up with a system you actually understand and can reuse in your own projects. You’ll start by building smooth, responsive movement: walking, running, jumping, and crouching that reacts properly to player input. From there, you’ll set up a basic blend space to smoothly connect all your movement animations together, so transitions between states feel natural instead of jarring.
Once the core movement is solid, you’ll move into more advanced systems. You’ll implement Aim Offset, giving your character realistic upper-body aiming that blends smoothly with the existing animations, and set up Foot IK, so your character’s feet automatically adjust to slopes, stairs, and uneven terrain instead of clipping through the ground or floating above it. These are the kinds of details that separate a rough prototype from something that genuinely feels like a finished game.
