Udemy – Complete Etabs course : from Zero to Hero

Master ETABS for complete structural design — from basic modeling to advanced analysis and design of RCC buildings following Indian standard codes.

This comprehensive course takes you through every step of structural design using ETABS, starting from beginner basics to advanced analysis techniques. Learn by building real-world projects step-by-step, implementing Indian standards (IS 1893, IS 875, IS 456) throughout.

What You Will Learn

Foundation & Introduction to ETABS (Model 1):

• Master the ETABS user interface and workflow
• Learn the complete steps of modeling, analysis & designing a building in ETABS
• Define grids, stories, materials, frame sections, and slab sections
• Model beams, columns, and slabs from scratch
• Validate and check your model for accuracy
• Define load patterns per IS codes (dead, live, floor finish, live loads, wall loads)
• Create load combinations and assign loads to shells and frames
• Apply restraints and perform structural analysis
• Interpret deformed shapes, member forces, and reactions
• Run concrete frame design checks and verify member adequacy

Practical Modeling Skills (Model 2):

• Import AutoCAD plans directly into ETABS
• Set column orientations correctly
• Design and model one-way and two-way slabs
• Include secondary beams in your design
• Apply moment releases to secondary beams

Staircase Modeling in ETABS (Model 3):

• Model dog-legged staircases with architectural details
• Create reference points and reference planes
• Model landings and landing beams
• Model spiral staircases
• Model circular staircases

Building Modeling & Analysis (Model 3: G+2 Storey Building):

• Complete one-shot modeling, analysis & design of a G+2 storey building
• Apply all learning to a realistic residential structure
