Build a strong understanding of modern Cisco data center technologies and architectures with this comprehensive course covering networking, application centric infrastructure, storage, compute, security, and infrastructure operations. The course begins with the foundations of data center architecture, comparing traditional three tier designs with modern spine leaf Clos architectures. You will explore the Cisco Nexus hardware portfolio and NX OS architecture, along with Virtual Device Contexts (VDCs) and Virtual Port Channels (vPC), including their operational and control plane concepts.
You will then learn key data center Layer 2 and Layer 3 fabric technologies, including VXLAN architecture, underlay multicast, BGP EVPN, integrated routing and bridging (IRB), and Data Center Interconnect (DCI) frameworks. These concepts provide an understanding of how modern data center networks support scalability, segmentation, multi tenancy, and connectivity across data center environments.
The course also covers Cisco Application Centric Infrastructure (ACI), including its policy based architecture and the role of the APIC controller. You will examine important ACI constructs such as tenants, VRFs, bridge domains, EPGs, contracts, filters, and microsegmentation, followed by ACI packet forwarding, endpoint learning, spine proxy operations, and Multi Pod and Multi Site architectural models.
