This is a review course for working IT governance and enterprise leadership professionals — not an introduction to the field. If you already understand IT governance frameworks, resource optimization, benefits realization, and risk management at the enterprise level, this fast-track course gives you a focused, high-efficiency way to prepare for the CGEIT exam. You’ll move through all four CGEIT domains, reinforcing the exact concepts, terminology, and decision frameworks that ISACA tests. Every domain closes with CGEIT-style practice questions so you can assess your understanding before moving on.
Domain 1 (Governance of Enterprise IT — 40% of the exam) is the largest domain and covers governance frameworks and principles, IT strategic alignment, governance organizational structures, board-level IT oversight, COBIT 2019 governance system design, stakeholder engagement, governance policies and decision-making, regulatory requirements, and governance maturity assessment.
You’ll review how ISACA frames governance effectiveness and the exam’s emphasis on translating enterprise strategy into IT direction — including ISO 38500 principles and the distinction between governance and management. This domain also addresses organizational culture, ethics, and the mechanisms that give IT governance its authority at the highest levels of the enterprise.
