Learn to develop in PHP frameworks from scratch, such as CakePHP version 4. You’ll learn step-by-step how to develop, from creating a database and building the back-end to displaying it on the front-end. You’ll use Postman with some HTTP methods to test your RESTful API. Learning PHP frameworks is currently an essential skill for working in a collaborative team.
The course is developed in a Unix-like environment, such as Linux, so prior knowledge of this type of environment, as well as Composer, is recommended. We start the course from scratch, developing various projects step by step.
Welcome to this course, and I hope you enjoy it. See you in class! You need to have PHP version 7 installed, as we will be working with Symfony version 5, which is the latest version to date, combining this framework with others such as Bootstrap 4 and MySQL.
One interesting feature of the Symfony framework is its template system called Twig, which allows us to easily organize HTML elements, apply inheritance, and use other features like extending, including, and using if and foreach loops quickly and easily. It also includes useful features such as bundles and component management for creating professional applications that are easy to maintain in a collaborative development team.
