This course provides a comprehensive introduction to the concepts, tools, and technologies used in Big Data Analytics. It is designed to help students understand how massive volumes of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data are collected, stored, processed, and analyzed in modern computing environments. The course begins with the fundamentals of Big Data and explores the challenges associated with handling large-scale datasets in real-world applications.
Students will gain practical knowledge of the Hadoop ecosystem, including Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) and MapReduce, which form the foundation for distributed data storage and processing. The course also introduces Pig Programming for efficient data manipulation and query processing in Hadoop environments. In addition, learners will explore the Apache Spark framework, which enables fast and scalable in-memory data processing for analytics applications.
