This course provides advanced training in Baggage Handling Systems (BHS), focusing on Level 2 and Level 3 maintenance, troubleshooting, system operation, and technical diagnostics. It is designed for technicians, engineers, maintenance professionals, and airport systems specialists who already have a basic understanding of BHS and want to develop more advanced technical knowledge.
The course covers the main principles required to understand and maintain automated baggage handling systems in modern airports. Learners will explore conveyor systems, sortation equipment, baggage routing, control systems, sensors, motors, drives, PLC-based control, and supervisory monitoring systems. The training also introduces systematic approaches to fault identification, troubleshooting, corrective maintenance, and equipment recovery.
Participants will learn how to analyze common mechanical, electrical, control, and communication problems within BHS environments. The course explains practical troubleshooting methods that can help maintenance personnel identify the source of a fault, isolate affected equipment, verify system conditions, and restore operation safely.
