This is a comprehensive AutoCAD course specifically designed for urban planners, Urban Designers, Landscape Architects, and enthusiasts to master AutoCAD for professional, real-world urban and landscape projects.
You’ll begin with the fundamentals — exploring the interface, 2D drafting, modification tools, layer management, hatching, and annotation — and gradually progress to advanced workflows including georeferencing aerial images, automating repetitive tasks with LISP scripts, and creating complex 3D urban and landscape models.
Unlike traditional courses, this program emphasizes practical, project-based workflows, helping you gain skills that you can apply immediately in professional projects. Throughout the course, you’ll complete multiple real-world projects, such as:
- Street design and detailed cross-sections
- Site layout planning and analysis
- 3D city modeling and urban infrastructure elements
- Twinmotion visualization projects, where your AutoCAD models are transformed into photorealistic renders
With specialized LISP scripts, you’ll automate time-consuming tasks such as area calculation, slope analysis, coordinate placement, dimensioning, and numbering — significantly improving your speed and efficiency.
By the end of this course, you will be able to:
- Design and document complete urban and landscape projects in AutoCAD
- Apply LISP automation for faster, more efficient workflows
- Build detailed 3D models for city and landscape projects
- Export AutoCAD projects to Twinmotion for photorealistic visualization
