API 510 certification is one of the highest-value credentials in the pressure-equipment world — and one of the hardest exams to pass cold. It tests applied code knowledge, fast code navigation, and calculation under time pressure, across API 510 and a stack of referenced documents: ASME VIII, API 572, 576, 577, 571 and 579, and ASME V.
This course is built to get you through it. Six structured sections take you from the code’s scope and the inspector’s role, through ASME VIII design principles, damage mechanisms and corrosion monitoring, inspection and NDE, repairs and rerating, and finally a dedicated exam-preparation section with worked calculations and a full mock-exam walkthrough.
You will not just memorise clauses. You will understand why the half-life rule sets the interval, how to calculate corrosion rate, remaining life and MAWP from measured thickness, how nozzle reinforcement and MDMT work at an inspector’s level, and when a finding escalates from a code calculation to a fitness-for-service assessment.
