Testing is being rewritten by AI, and most QA training hasn’t caught up. This course does. You’ll learn to test a real application: Helix Health Portal, a full patient portal handling prescriptions, medical records, billing, and clinical notes. Not a to-do app. Not a toy demo. The kind of software where a bug actually matters, and where knowing how to prove it works is a career-defining skill.
Here’s the important part: this is a prompt engineering course, not an AI deep-dive. You won’t study algorithms, train models, or wade through math. You’ll learn to direct Claude Code with precise, context-rich prompts and turn its output into test code you can actually trust. Prompting is a skill, like writing a clear bug report, and you’ll practice it until it’s second nature.
By the end, you’ll be able to sit down with any feature and build a complete, runnable test suite across all three layers of the test pyramid:
- Unit tests for business logic: validation, calculations, data transformation
- Integration / API tests for endpoints, authentication, and role-based access control
- End-to-end tests with Playwright that click through real user journeys in a browser
