The Internet of Things (IoT) is rapidly evolving beyond connected devices into intelligent, autonomous, and decentralized systems. This advanced course is designed for learners who already understand IoT basics and want to move toward next-generation IoT innovation and specialization. This course focuses on AI-powered IoT (AIoT), 5G-enabled connectivity, Blockchain-based IoT systems, and specialized real-world applications, preparing you to design, evaluate, and lead complex IoT solutions.
You will start by mastering AI and Machine Learning in IoT, covering cloud-based AI platforms, edge and on-device ML, Generative AI use cases, predictive maintenance, and real-time anomaly detection. You will learn when to use cloud intelligence versus edge intelligence and how to architect scalable AIoT systems.
Next, the course explores 5G and advanced connectivity for IoT, including eMBB, URLLC, mMTC, network slicing, satellite IoT, non-terrestrial networks (NTN), eSIM, and 5G RedCap. You will understand how low latency, high bandwidth, and massive device connectivity enable new IoT applications such as smart factories, autonomous systems, and mission-critical deployments.
The course then dives into Blockchain for IoT and decentralized IoT systems, explaining how blockchain improves IoT data integrity, security, and trust. You will learn about smart contracts, decentralized device identity, DePIN (Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks), and tokenization of IoT devices and data, with hands-on exposure using an Ethereum test network.
Finally, you will explore specialized IoT applications and future trends, including Smart Cities, Industrial IoT (IIoT), Healthcare IoT (IoMT), and sustainable, energy-efficient IoT systems. The course also discusses emerging concepts such as digital twins, quantum IoT, and next-generation IoT architectures. Throughout the course, you will work on design-oriented projects, case studies, and assessments that strengthen architectural thinking and real-world problem-solving skills.
By the end of this course, you will not only understand how advanced IoT systems work—but also how to design, evaluate, and future-proof them.
Who this course is not for:
- Absolute beginners with no prior exposure to IoT concepts
- Learners looking only for basic Arduino or ESP32 tutorials
