Create engaging eLearning content through a practical English Adobe Captivate course from CareerPencil and Expertisor Academy. Move from first launch to JavaScript interactions and question pools. Start with an introduction to Captivate, getting started, creating a project from a template, save, import, export, preview and publish, Articulate 360 versus Captivate and preferences. Then build different types of slides with headers and footers. The widgets session covers flipcard, tab, carousel, timeline, hotspot, click-to-reveal, certificate, drag-and-drop and accordion widgets. Later sessions cover media blocks, text blocks, the timeline, animation, generating AI avatars, adding audio, writing JavaScript (sum values in a form, multiple buttons, debugging with console versus alerts, radio buttons) and finally random questions and question pools.
This course is for English-speaking instructional designers, trainers and educators. Have Adobe Captivate installed (a trial works) so you can practice each step. The focus is learning the workflows shown in the course, rather than promising a job or a certification. The course brings visual slide building and interactive behavior together. Start with the project and slide tools, then compare which widget or content block suits the information you want a learner to explore. The JavaScript lessons give a separate view of form values, button behavior and debugging. Practice in a small project and preview changes as you go. Question pools and random questions add an assessment angle, helping you connect content presentation with ways to check a learner’s understanding.
