In this digital painting workshop by Art Director Abe Taraky, he breaks down his illustrative design process revealing how to take an idea and turn it into a refined and dimensional image, using Photoshop as his software of choice. You’ll explore practical techniques in image-making using photoshop, and learn the key considerations that go into creating compelling designs and telling stories with your illustrations. Abe’s workshop is focused on creating illustrations with cultural inspiration. Follow along with Abe’s hands-on workshop as he guides you from brainstorming an initial idea to developing a strong foundational drawing. You’ll explore folklore and mythology in new and creative ways, steering clear of common clichés. Along the way, you’ll learn how to appreciate and respectfully incorporate cultural elements into your artwork.
