In today’s world of social media, the need for online headshots, otherwise known as personal branding, has opened new doors for attracting clients. Headshots are a great tool in your studio’s mix of services. Not only do they work for quick revenue, but they also provide a great introduction for longer-term relationships and up‑selling clients to full portrait sessions.
No one is more qualified to get this business than you; today’s contemporary portrait photographer. You just have to be willing to put in the work and market yourself. These shoots might not bring in nearly the revenue as your traditional portrait session will, but if you are able to engage your client and give them awesome work, they might come back for their family portrait. Or, they might tell their friends and now you have more business!
As you know portrait marketing is a different animal, as it’s not based on event marketing like weddings. Instead, we have to sell as a desirable purchase. Having a headshot genre in your business opens up a whole new marketing avenue based on people’s immediate needs — and this gives you a perfect way to bring more people to your brand.
So watch as Sue guides you through the best way to capture these headshots to help your client develop their personal brand.
