Welcome to the comprehensive course on Power BI DAX Query View and Microsoft Copilot integration within the DAX Query View and the Power BI Service. This course is designed for data analysts, business intelligence professionals, and anyone interested in leveraging the advanced capabilities of Power BI Query View and Copilot integration.
Power BI DAX Query View is a new powerful feature in Power BI that allows users to create simple or complex DAX queries (as opposed to DAX expressions) and perform dynamic calculations.
The integration of Microsoft Copilot with DAX Query View takes this functionality to the next level. Microsoft Copilot is an AI-powered tool that assists users in creating content, analyzing data, and automating tasks within the Microsoft 365 suite, including Power BI. When integrated with Power BI, Copilot can help users to generate insights, create queries, and even create narratives around their data visualizations.
Throughout this course, you will learn how to:
- Utilize DAX Query View to create simple or complex DAX queries (much like querying data in SQL Server).
- Integrate Microsoft Copilot with Power BI to streamline your data analysis workflow.
- Leverage Copilot’s AI capabilities to automatically generate data insights and narratives.
- Explore various scenarios where Copilot can help with your Power BI reports and query generation.
The course starts off with several lectures on Power BI DAX Query View and how to best utilize that for generating DAX queries. We then discuss how to leverage DAX Query View by working through an example of a ranking measure that isn’t working correctly and go through the process of fixing it using Query View. We also discuss how Query View can be used to create measures and then add them directly into your model. And we show how existing measures can be modified, and tested, and then updated to the model. We then dive into how Microsoft Copilot is tightly integrated into Query View to help developers create DAX queries.
We finish up by demonstrating how Microsoft Copilot is integrated into the Power BI service and how it can be used to help develop reports.
By the end of this course, you will have a solid understanding of how to effectively use Power BI DAX Query View, how to get the most out of it and Microsoft Copilot in the Power BI Service and DAX Query View.
