Plexus is a plug-in designed to bring generative art closer to a non-linear program like After Effects. It lets you create, manipulate and visualize data in a procedural manner. Not only you can render the particles, but also create all sorts of interesting relationships between them based on various parameters using lines and triangles. The workflow for Plexus is very modular allowing you to create truly infinite set of configurations and parameters.
Feature Highlights:
Particle Systems & Connections:
Particles can be spawned and connected by parameters such as distance and position.
Triangulation and surface generation are supported.
Programmatic vs. modular workflows:
With a modular architecture, you can create unlimited effects with a variety of object and parameter combinations.
3D Interaction:
Supports particle, line, and polygon interaction in 3D space.
Compatible with After Effects camera and lighting settings.
Sound Driver:
Sound effectors can control the position, size, or color of particles based on the audio waveform.
Advanced Visuals:
Depth of Field, Motion Blur, and Seamless Beam Rendering are supported.
Tools such as Slicer and Splines are included.
Custom visualizations:
- Provides functions such as gradient blanking, depth map culling, and texture mapping, and supports the synthesis of complex scenes.
- Compatibility & Performance Optimization:
- Optimized for the multi-threaded architecture of After Effects, with support for multi-frame rendering (MFR).
- Compatible with OBJ files and sequences for easy import and use of 3D models.
