PiXimperfect – Compositing Panel v1.5.0 for Photoshop

Elevate your post-production workflow and achieve the elusive “perfect” color profile with Chromatic Balance by Picture Instruments. Designed for editors and colorists who demand surgical precision without the complexity of traditional grading suites, this plugin is a powerhouse for neutralizing color casts and balancing footage across multiple light sources. Whether you are dealing with mismatched cameras or challenging mixed-lighting environments, Chromatic Balance provides a streamlined, professional-grade solution directly inside your favorite host application.

The core of Chromatic Balance lies in its intuitive handling of the color spectrum. Unlike standard auto-white balance tools that can often strip away the natural warmth or “soul” of a scene, this plugin allows you to maintain creative intent while ensuring technical accuracy. It excels at identifying and correcting subtle chromatic shifts in highlights, midtones, and shadows independently. This “three-way” approach ensures that while you neutralize a blue cast in your shadows, your highlights remain vibrant and your skin tones stay natural and healthy.

One of the standout features of the Picture Instruments ecosystem is its specialized algorithm for Skin Tone Protection. Chromatic Balance leverages this technology to ensure that even as you push your color adjustments to the limit, human subjects remain consistently lifelike. The plugin’s interface is designed for speed; with its clear visual feedback and responsive sliders, you can achieve a balanced look in seconds that would normally take dozens of nodes or layers to replicate.

Built for the rigorous demands of professional filmmaking and high-end photography, Chromatic Balance is fully compatible with Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro. It supports high-bit-depth processing to ensure your footage remains free of banding or artifacts, even when working with compressed formats. By integrating Chromatic Balance into your toolkit, you aren’t just correcting errors—you are establishing a solid, neutral foundation upon which you can build stunning, cinematic looks. Stop fighting your footage and start mastering it with the precision and elegance of Chromatic Balance.
