Description
- Copy Paste DWG is a powerful productivity tool for Autodesk 3ds Max designed to simplify and accelerate the process of transferring CAD drawings directly from AutoCAD, DraftSight, NanoCAD, and other DWG-based applications into 3ds Max. Developed by Pixamoon, the plugin eliminates the need for repetitive importing workflows and gives artists, architects, and visualization professionals a faster and cleaner way to work with CAD data inside their 3D scenes
- Instead of importing entire DWG files and manually cleaning unnecessary geometry, Copy Paste DWG allows users to simply select objects in their CAD software, press Ctrl+C, switch to 3ds Max, and instantly paste the selected content directly into the scene. This streamlined workflow saves valuable production time and makes it significantly easier to organize complex architectural plans, elevations, sections, and technical drawings.
- The plugin is built specifically for professionals who work daily with CAD-to-3D pipelines. It intelligently reads DWG clipboard data and imports only the selected objects, helping artists avoid cluttered scenes and oversized imports. This makes it ideal for architectural visualization, interior design, engineering visualization, and large-scale production workflows where efficiency and precision are essential.
- Copy Paste DWG also includes advanced cleanup and optimization features that improve imported geometry and scene organization automatically. Users can move pasted objects to specific layers, remove empty layers, unlink CAD block hierarchies, preserve layer structures, convert shapes, and apply custom import settings for better scene management. Newer versions additionally support crop functionality, making it possible to isolate and import only the required areas of large drawings.
