As graphic designers, we have so many options to sell our artwork online, and the best site for selling stock images is Shutterstock (in my opinion)!
I’ve been a Shutterstock contributor for about 4 years, and I currently have over 6000 images on Shutterstock.
I make a pretty nice side income from Shutterstock, in fact, I earn more from Shutterstock than any of my other side businesses.
But it wasn’t always this way.
At the beginning, as a new contributor, I struggled. I didn’t yet understand that there is a METHOD to getting more downloads/sales.
In this class I’ll teach you that method, so you can start your own stock vector or photo side business.
You’ll also learn the best tips for selling on Shutterstock. We’ll go over everything from what images sell to signing up for an account…and then actually uploading your first images.
Here are the topics we’ll cover in this course:
• Why do companies use stock images?
• Pros and cons of uploading stock photos and vectors to Shutterstock
• Passive Income definition and how it applies to Shutterstock
• Stock image process
• How much money you can make on Shutterstock
• Target audience – Who needs Shutterstock images?
• Goals and consistency with stock images
• Tips before starting your Shutterstock journey
• Signing up for a Shutterstock account
• Creating stock photos
• Getting your vector images ready for upload to Shutterstock
• Uploading photos to Shutterstock
• Uploading vectors to Shutterstock
• Bonus – What to Draw and What to Shoot
This class is geared toward beginners to selling stock photography and vectors, but you’ll need to comfortable with your creation technology of choice, whether it’s a DSLR camera, iPhone, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, or Corel Draw.
