In this class, you’ll learn about the technicalities of filming yourself and creating talking head videos. This class is for beginners who want to learn about the process of recording yourself for video.
Note that this class will provide an overview of the equipment I use and will not be an extensive tutorial on how to use any specific piece of equipment.
Lessons will include topics on:
- Camera Shyness
- Camera Recommendations
- Camera Settings
- Lenses
- Setting Up Good Composition
- Teleprompters
- Audio Equipment
- Lighting Equipment
- Scripted vs Freestyle Talking Head Videos
- And an extensive Editing Walkthrough
There is also a class project to encourage you to not just watch the video lessons but to act on them. The class project is to produce your very own talking head video. The subject can be whatever you want. If you are having trouble deciding, I suggest you talk about something you feel passionate about.
Each lesson will walk you through the steps you need to take to record a well-crafted talking head video. The class worksheet also outlines each step and provides a summary of each lesson. I recommend using it as you go through the lessons.
