Thank you for making this amazing spreadsheet, I’ve been looking around for awhile trying to find a simple and easy to use software or platform for my business and yours has been the best one so far.
Today’s most comprehensive spreadsheet in residential construction. The Home Cost & Schedule Planner not only lives up to its name, but the ease of creating the step-by-step checklist is in a league of its own. It’s your single source to estimate the cost of building your home, creating the schedule, and generating the roadmap / checklist that walks you step-by-step of what to do and when to complete your home.
An essential tool for builders! Find everything you need in one easy-to-navigate spreadsheet that covers all the bases:
CALCULATE THE COST of building your home. Estimate labor and material costs accurately for each scope with the Cost Template. Customize for your project.
DEVELOP A SCHEDULE easily with the included Gantt chart tool. A built-in process is included (that you can modify if needed), so all you need to do is enter your start date and the durations for each step.
STEP-BY-STEP CHECKLIST which becomes your roadmap as you order materials, hire subcontractors, schedule permit inspections and more! And this checklist is automatically generated, customized for your project based on your cost and schedule inputs. Talk about easy!
CASH DRAW SCHEDULE is automatically generated using your cost and schedule inputs, letting you know how much cash you’ll need when (and probably your bank would like to know this information!). The cash draw schedule uses the APR for interest.
GREAT FOR FIRST-TIME HOME BUILDERS and custom home builders! If you need a spreadsheet that can nail the cost, schedule and generate a step-by-step checklist that becomes a roadmap for constructing your home, this spreadsheet is for you. Plus it’s in a program that millions are familiar with and already have loaded on their machine – Microsoft Excel!
This spreadsheet is simple to use, but delivers powerful, fast results – summarizing cost, giving you a Gantt chart schedule and generating a step-by-step checklist that walks you through when to order material, when to hire subcontractors, and more! It includes a cash draw schedule.
You can save 30%+ of the cost of your home by managing the construction of your home yourself. Or if you hire a general contractor to build your home, you can understand more about how your home is being built, and the material selections being made so you can ask your GC to use materials you select rather than builder’s grade for the items important to you. Also, you can estimate the percent the GC is making on your project to make sure you are okay with his profit margin.
