You guys have been asking for my mixer brushes for a while, and I finally had the time to properly organize them and put them out.
I’ve used standard digital brushes for years, and there’s nothing wrong with them. But I missed the feeling of traditional paint, the happy accidents, the thick textures, and the messiness. It’s hard to just start messing around digitally the way you would on a real canvas.
I put this pack together to scratch that itch. These are the mixer brushes I use to keep my own painting process loose, intuitive, and fun. They automatically make you want to be a little more carefree with your strokes, and once you figure out how to combine these with your regular digital techniques, the results are highly addictive.
- 18 Brushes: A mix of opaque, wet, smudge, and scatter/texture brushes.
- 20-Minute Video: A quick walkthrough of how I actually use them.
- 2 Process PSD: My actual file so you can poke around the layers.
- High-Res Painting: So you can zoom in and see the final textures.
Note: These are built specifically for Photoshop’s Mixer Brush tool. You can load them into other programs like procreate and CSP and they can be used as regular brushes though these were originally designed for photoshop!
