Laurken Kendall’s body of work is an undeniable visceral experience that lives beyond the images alone. It is a searching and guttural roar into thyself. A cathartic howl at a cool knowing moon that offers no response. A deep ache of gratitude etching itself into our bones as we march on. It is a band of wild mustangs barreling across the wildlands at dawn just to feel the sting in their lungs.
So it’s no surprise that what Laurken has created with On Dark Sheets is truly one of a kind. These full-throated presets deepen and compliment photographs while making you feel a bit dangerous in the process. From dark seedy motel rooms and fields washed with the light of a waning sun, to a reception room full of sweaty bodies and thrumming pink DJ lights, this pack is just as versatile for a multitude of lighting conditions as it is for the gamut of human emotion in each frame.
Using a brand new feature to Lightroom called a Profile Slider, each preset can be adjusted in total strength to enhance the scene to your satisfaction. Turn it down or crank it all the way up, this dynamic pack will take you on an unapologetic journey of Laurken’s signature style with limitless versatility and stylized options for photographs that require more attitude. Don’t be surprised if On Dark Sheets teaches you something new about yourself.
On Dark Sheets consists of 8 color presets, 3 BW presets, and 7 Creative Profiles.
Before and after images below demonstrate how each preset manipulates an image with identical white balance and exposure.
